When both Bridget and Luke are double booked to babysit Emmy, they arrive to a crying girl and her dead hamster. Bridget and Luke attempt to console Emmy but disagree in how to teach her about the circle of life. They argue as they try to find a middle ground between Bridget’s blunt and direct approach and Luke’s idealistic and spiritual one.
